VC Heart Values
Our Heart Values are core values which are deeply held beliefs determining who we are and what we do. While our mission and vision statements guide us, our Heart Values function like the banks of a river to give us momentum and keep us heading in the right direction. We ask all those desiring to become a part of the Voyage Family to accept the Heart Values as a unifying statement of our common direction. These Heart Values are reconfirmed on an annual basis by the Voyage Family.

We value esteeming those inside and outside the church above ourselves.
“Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.” Philippians 2:3-4
“By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35
We value living an honest, open life with integrity.
“Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.” Ephesians 4:25
We value having unified relationships.
“So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another.” Romans 14:19
“That they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.” John 17:21
We value participating through attendance and ministry involvement.
“As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” I Peter 4:10
“Not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:25
We value supporting the church financially.
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21
We value following spiritual leadership in the church.
“Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you.” Hebrews 13:17
We value growing in the knowledge and application of the Word.
“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” II Timothy 3:16-17
I’ve accepted by faith, Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe He died for my sins and arose again from the grave. I’ve been baptized as a symbol and profession of my faith in Christ. I hereby accept and commit to the mission and Heart Values of Voyage Church. Please include me as a member of the family at Voyage Church.
